French matching activity with foldables? That’s right!
This is a hands-on task to get your students to practice French Valentine’s Day-related vocabulary.
And did I mention it’s free?
FREE French Matching Activity: la Saint-Valentin
Traditional matching activities have been a staple in the classroom for years. They’re effective practice and help students associate words to images (or other words).
But why don’t we take this kind of activity further and make it interactive?
The purpose is simple: match words with corresponding images.
The difference is that the images are on flaps and the words will cut out and pasted.
Where will the words be pasted?
“Under” the flaps!
Now, every time students want to remember words related to Valentine’s Day, all they need to do is look for the image on their notebooks and, then, lift the flap!
Give it a try and you’ll see how your students engage and enjoy manipulating the paper like that.
These flaps can be used as an interactive notebook activity or can be also be used along with the French Valentine’s Day Lapbook (see picture below).
